Butter Prawns, Yummy!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This recipe is actually quite good in a sense that if you ever ordered this dish in a 5-Star Chinese restaurant, you would normally get a dish as similar as my Butter Prawns recipe. So enjoy it. For Western countries, it may not be possible to buy "curry leaves". Either leave it out or subsitute another fragrant leaves such as Bay leaves. And you can leave out the Chillies too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;Ingredients.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;1. Half kilo Large prawns. With shells on.(I prefer Tiger prawns)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. 120 gms. Butter&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Chilli padi (7 small ones). Just flatten or crush it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Curry leaves. (20 leaves)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. 6 egg Yolks.( only the egg yolks, no egg white) Well beaten and whisked until it froths.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;Method&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;Wash and drain the prawns. It must be dry.Melt the butter in a wok. Pour eggyolk into the melted butter under medium heat and keep stirring while the egg yolk is being poured.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keep on stirring until the yolk froths in the butter. It is simple and appetizing and yet there are still some who has no idea how to cook it. Western countries know this recipe from inside out but for Asians, it is still a treat to be able to give their kids some " Western food" once in a while.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;I normally cook this dish in several different ways, to break the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;monotony&lt;/span&gt; of the simple Chicken and Chips. My variants are Spicy Chicken and Chips, Savoury Chicken and chips, Roasted Chicken and chips, Honey Chicken and chips ad a few more others. You can make up your own such as Ginger Chicken, Cinnamon Chicken, Buttered Chicken, etc.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;We will start with a simple &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Soya&lt;/span&gt; Chicken and Chips.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;Ingredients.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;1. 4 chicken thighs&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;2. Some chips - you can buy ready to cook from supermarkets, its much simpler.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;3. 2 tablespoons of light &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;soya&lt;/span&gt; sauce.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;4. White pepper.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;5. Salt.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;6. Tomatoes or cucumber for garnishing.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;Method.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;Marinate the chicken thighs with &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;soya&lt;/span&gt; sauce, a sprinkle of pepper, a pinch of salt. Leave it to dry out in the fridge for half an hour.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;In the meantime, start frying some chips and prepare the tomatoes for garnishing.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;In a half full pot of oil, fry the chicken under moderate heat for 15 minutes. Then turn over the chicken and fry for a further 15 minutes. be sure to drip dry the oil. The skin of the chicken will be " crunchy" if you have left it to dry out in the fridge. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;Garnish with cucumber or tomatoes or parsley. Leave it to dry out for 2 hours in the fridge.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;color:#000000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;color:#000000;"&gt;Heat up the oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Put the marinated pork belly into the oven with the skin facing upwards. Cooking vegetables are very easy and do not require elaborate preparations and can be ready in minutes. Unlike western cooking, Vegetables are normally stir-fried and most of the nourishment are retain if done this way. Pak Choy (or lettuce)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;2. 2 cloves of garlic - sliced thinly.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;3. 1 tablespoon of soy-sauce.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;4. 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Method.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Heat the oil in a pan or a wok. Put in sliced garlic pieces and do a quick fry for about 1 minute.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Put in your Pak Choy or lettuce in the pan and add in the soy-sauce. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes. I made up this dish when I was living in London. In fact I have made up quite a number of recipes due to the fact that much of the ingredients needed for most Asian dishes were not readily available in England. If they were, I still need to go to London's Chinatown to get it. My Fried Spaghetti was also concocted while living there. (And beer brewing, wine making and ........)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Ingredients.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;1. Streaky bacon 4 pieces cut into 1 inch lengths.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;2. 200 gms. fresh prawns - shelled.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;3. 100 gms. breast of chicken - cut into small pieces.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;4. 200 gms. mixed vegetables.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;5. 2 eggs beaten well.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;6. 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;7. Half teaspoon of fine table salt.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;8. White ground pepper - added to taste (optional if you require non-spicy)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;9. 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;10.Cooked rice (cook half a kilo of long grain rice)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Method.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Heat up the cooking oil in a Wok and fry for 1 minute. Add in chicken, bacon, prawns and mixed vegetables. It is my own style which is not very spicy and children will love it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Ingredients.&lt;br /&gt;1. 1 medium size chicken (1kg.)- cut into small pieces.&lt;br /&gt;2. One large onion, chopped or grated.&lt;br /&gt;3. 3 medium size tomatoes- cut into several small pieces.&lt;br /&gt;4. Medium size potatoes- 4 pieces (cut into medium sizes)&lt;br /&gt;5. Curry leaves or coriander leaves (Chinese parsley)&lt;br /&gt;6. 150-200 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;gms&lt;/span&gt;. meat or chicken, curry powder.&lt;br /&gt;7. Garlic - 1 whole bulb- peeled and finely chopped.&lt;br /&gt;8. Chicken stock 1 cube.&lt;br /&gt;9. Coconut milk (2 coconuts). Packet coconut milk could be used.&lt;br /&gt;If not available, the top fresh cream part from a pint of fresh milk (250 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;mls&lt;/span&gt;.)&lt;br /&gt;10. Water 250 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;mls&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Method.&lt;br /&gt;Heat up 3 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pot (or Wok). Put in chopped garlic and stir fry for 2 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;mins&lt;/span&gt;. Add in 200 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;gms&lt;/span&gt;. curry powder and fry for a further 2 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;Add in chopped onions, chicken, potatoes and tomatoes and fry for about 10 minutes under medium heat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pour in coconut milk, 250 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;mls&lt;/span&gt;. water, curry leaves (or coriander leaves), chicken stock and salt to taste.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Simmer under low-medium heat for 20 minutes, remembering to constantly stir the ingredients every 5 minutes. However there were some prawns left and a few streaks of bacon, I thought I could come up with something appetizing. The result was this Spaghetti with bacon and fresh prawns recipe. The taste of bacon and fresh prawns was simply delicious and I hope you will enjoy it too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ingredients.&lt;br /&gt;1. 6 or 7 medium size prawns (shelled)&lt;br /&gt;2. 4 slices of streaky bacon (sliced into several small pieces))&lt;br /&gt;3. 200&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;gms&lt;/span&gt;. minced pork.&lt;br /&gt;4. 3 medium size tomatoes.&lt;br /&gt;5. 2 tablespoons of light soy-sauce.&lt;br /&gt;6. a pinch of sugar.&lt;br /&gt;7. 1 tablespoon of dark soy-sauce.&lt;br /&gt;8. Cucumbers and parsley for garnishing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Method.&lt;br /&gt;Fried the minced pork in a wok &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;with&lt;/span&gt; 1 tablespoon cooking oil until slightly brownish. Add in bacon and stir fried for a further 1 minute.&lt;br /&gt;Put all the cooked spaghetti in the wok and stir fry for 2 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;Add in the light and dark soy-sauce, prawns, chicken stock, a pinch &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;of&lt;/span&gt; sugar, tomatoes and salt and pepper (optional).
