Roast Pork

Roast pork is very popular amongst the Chinese community and is one of the most widely eaten besides Chicken Rice. Here I have provided my own recipe for making Roast Pork at home. All you need is an oven.

To make your own roast pork, prepare the ingredients as follows:
1. 1kg.. of pork belly.
2 5-spice powder.
3. 4 tablespoons of soya-sauce.
4. 1 teaspoon of table salt.
Marinate the pork belly with 5-spice powder, soya-sauce, salt. Leave it to dry out for 2 hours in the fridge.
Heat up the oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Put the marinated pork belly into the oven with the skin facing upwards. Roast for 20 minutes or until the skin starts to "crackle".
Turn the belly of pork and roast for another 20 minutes.
Finally turn the roast pork again with the skin facing upwards again and roast for another 5-10 minutes.
Take out your roast pork, cut into small pieces and garnish with fresh lettuce or cucumber slices.
